Common issues
Use this page when something in Play is not working the way you expected. It covers the most common fixes for build problems, missing data, integration failures, co-worker behavior issues, and finding apps or chats.
App won't build or gets stuck
Try rephrasing. If Play is struggling with your request, simplify it. Start with the core requirement and add details in follow-up messages.
Check your credits. Building apps consumes credits. If you're out, the build may fail. Check your balance on the Usage page.
Start a new chat. If a chat gets into a bad state, open a fresh one and try again.
Data not showing in my app
Check the collection. Make sure the collection has data. Go to Assets and browse the table.
Check the query. The app might be filtering data too aggressively. Ask Play to show all records first, then add filters.
Refresh. If you just added data, give the app a moment to update.
Integration not working
Check connection status. Go to Integrations and verify the tool shows as connected.
Re-authorize. OAuth tokens expire. Click Manage on the integration and re-do the auth flow.
Check the external service. The tool itself might be down.
See the dedicated Integration troubleshooting page for more.
Co-worker not responding correctly
Review instructions. Vague instructions produce vague results. Be specific about what the co-worker should do and how.
Check connections. Make sure the co-worker has access to the collections and integrations it needs.
Add knowledge. If the co-worker is missing context, add the relevant information to your workspace's knowledge files.
Can't find an app or chat
Use search. Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to search across your workspace.
Check the Apps page. Filter by category or search by name.
Check Chats. All conversations are listed on the Chats page, sorted by recency.
