Credits explained
Credits are how Play measures AI usage. Use this page to understand what consumes credits, what does not, how plan multipliers work, and what to do when your balance gets low.
Monitoring usage: Check your credit balance and consumption on the Usage page in Settings.
What consumes credits
Credits are consumed by AI-powered actions in Play:
Chatting with Play
Chatting with AI co-workers
Building and iterating on apps
Running scheduled tasks
Research and analysis
What does not consume credits
These actions do not consume credits:
Using third-party integrations such as Slack, Stripe, and Google Sheets
Browsing your workspace
Editing data in collections
Managing knowledge files
Credit multipliers
Your plan determines your credit multiplier. A higher multiplier means more capacity for AI-powered work.
Plan | Multiplier |
|---|---|
Free | 0.1x |
Pro | 1x |
Legend | 4x |
Team | 1x per member |
The multiplier determines how many credits you receive with your plan.
Running out of credits
When your credits run low, you have three options:
Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) - Automatically purchase additional credits as needed.
Credit add-on packs - Buy credits in bulk at a discount.
Upgrade your plan - Move to a higher plan for a larger base allocation.
Monitoring usage
Use the Usage page in Settings to review:
Your credit balance
How credits are being consumed
Current resource usage relative to plan limits
If you want a fuller billing and plan breakdown, see Billing & invoices and Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG).
